Green Haiku

I came across some poems that I wrote a few years ago while relaxing on the Yucatan Peninsula. I have a particular fondness for haiku, it is like an affirmation that less is indeed more.

Kathy
She is the green Earth
And when the full moon appears
Her soul fills the sky

War
Stinky green paper
Steals son from his mother
Shows him to his grave

Ocean
Deckled white sea surf
Erase blue green expansion
With random fervor

Wine
Shiny green bottle
Pouring blood red contentment
Sweetening your words

Kayak
Olive kayak floats
Paddles raised in unison
Cares left on the beach

Home-wrecker
She has yellow hair
Red lips short black skirts and You
I'm green with envy

Statue
Naked green lady
Blissfully unaware that she's
Documenting time
